A FINE IVORY CARVED NETSUKE OF A SAGE Japan, 19th century Ivory. H. 3.5 cm. The netsuke is carved as a sage sitting on a crane soaring through a swirl of clouds, with his mouth open in joy as he unfurls a handscroll, signed probably 'Minko' on it. With traces of age and use, partially damaged and restored. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community. An export license is required for shipment to third countries. Please inform yourself about the current import regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell in your country.
