ATTRIBUTED TO PIERRE DAVID MORIER Around 1705 Bern - January 1770 London MYTHOLOGICAL SCENE Red chalk on chamois-coloured laid paper, watermark .... "G. ... I HONIC". 34 x 24.8 cm (sheet size), 40 x 30 cm (frame size). Monogrammed at the bottom of the sheet on a letter: "D.M." and dated "1765". Inscription in pencil by a later hand at the bottom of the sheet: 'David Morier 1705-1770. Minor fold marks, slightly soiled, corners partly min. preserved. Framed behind glass. Provenance: West German private collection.
