Obüt Ulmae. ubi corpus Ejus integrum repertum 1613. Min. dam., old craquelure, largely few image interventions. Frame. Monsignor Dr Ludwig Voelkl, who was buried in the priestly crypt of the Archconfraternity 'Santa Maria della Pieta' of the Campo Santo Teutonico near St Peter's in Rome, brought these two paintings of St Catherine of Ricci and St Henricus Suso offered here as well as a number of other paintings very probably from Rome to Germany. As a papal prelate, a connection to the Roman Curia is probable. Provenance: Monsignor Dr theol. Ludwig Voelkl (1899-1985) was papal house Prelate and Director of the Roman Institute of the Görres Society.
