RARE FIGURINE CLOCK 'TEMPUS FUGIT' German, Freiburg, Gustav Becker, circa 1885 Cast metal, partially gilded, metal, enamel, steel. Approx. 68 x 22 x 22 cm. Marked on the movement 'Gustav Becker Freiburg', 'Medaille d'Or', and No. '536422'. A domed, decorated round base on lion's head feet supports a figure of a kneeling man, a winged wheel with the round clock mechanism, and a putto with a skull. Metal dial with enameled plaques bearing Roman numerals and lacquered ornamental hands. Partially damaged and scratched; function untested.
