FLOATING PUTTO Southern Germany or Austria, 17th century Linden wood, carved in the round, polychromed and gilded. H. 51.5, W. 26, D. 9 cm; weight approx. 1.44 kg. Fragmentary figure of a floating angel with dynamic drapery and curly hair. Areas of damage and restoration; losses to the polychromy; age cracks; minor woodworm damage.
