PAIR OF FLOATING PUTTI South German, circa 1750 Wood, carved in the round, polychrome finish, flattened at the back. H. 68/67 cm each; W. 36/35 cm; D. 17/18 cm. A matching pair of putti executed as mirror images; each is depicted in a dynamic pose, leaning against a curved, gilded C-scroll or rocaille element. Minor chips and damage; losses to the finish; evidence of woodworm.
