Marked 'AJ Halou' on the plinth, marked 'Ton..? original 11/2 A-J-Halou' on the reverse. 'Ton..? original 11/2 A-J-Halou'. Fully sculpted representation of a harvest worker (La Moissonneuse), walking bent over, holding a sickle in one hand and carrying a bundle of grain under her arm. The slightly forward-leaning posture and concentrated body language convey the physical exertion of field work. Part. best.
