Dated '1816' and inscribed '16:aprip I: Boppig' on the back. '16:aprip I: Boppig'. Depictions of Saint Agatha with her severed breasts - often presented on a platter - refer to her martyrdom and symbolise steadfastness in faith and the rejection of worldly desires. Partially preserved and damaged, loss of material, crown damaged, hands restored and affected by woodworm.
