A QUADRI-PARTITE ICON SHOWING IMAGES OF THE MOTHER OF GOD, ST. NICHOLAS OF MYRA AND ST. JOHN THE FORERUNNER Russian, Old Believers' workshop, 19th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The haloes made of silver, covered by a golden lacquer. Two selected saints on the borders, the Guardian Angel among them. Partially restored. On the reverse a Cyrillic inscription, dated '1906'. 35.4 x 30.8 cm.
