A STAUROTHEK ICON SHOWING THE CRUCIFIXION OF CHRIST, THE DEPOSITION AND THE ENTOMBMENT AND FOUR SAINTS Russian, circa 1880 Tempera on wood panel. Painted against a golden background, ornamental incised background and borders. The corners painted with ornate strapwork and faux cloisonné enameling. A brass and enamel crucifix inserted in the panel. Minor losses. 35.7 x 31 cm.
