A SIGNED AND DATED ICON SHOWING THE HEAD OF ST. VARVARA Russian, Palekh, Mikhail Yudin (1818-1900), dated 1880 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The halo, background and border gilded and ornately incised and painted in faux enameling. The reverse signed and dated in Cyrillic. The border minimally restored. 30.7 x 26 cm.
