A LARGE AND RARE ICON SHOWING THE ADORATION OF THE MOTHER OF GOD Russian, 18th century Tempera on wood panel. The background made of silver, covered by a golden lacquer. The Mother of God with Christ seated on a throne and the Adoration of the Three Holy Kings. Below that scene the chorus flanked by Zosima and Savatiy. Punched gold background. Vertical crack and the border restored. Scratched Cyrillic inscription to the reverse. 50,7 x 40,5 cm.
