A RARE ICON 'ECCE HOMO' WITH A SILVER-GILT BASMA Russian, 2nd half of the 19th century (icon), Russian, St. Petersburg, 1870 (basma) Oil on wood panel. The silver-gilt basma chased and repoussé with strapwork and interlaced pattern. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master'S mark 'NVM' in Cyrillic. Minimally restored. 33.6 x 27 cm.
