A VERY FINE QUADRI-PARTITE ICON SHOWING THE KAZANSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD AND SELECTED SAINTS Russian, circa 1600 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Painted with saturated colours, predominantly reds and greens. The panel showing a selection of saints, including Sts. Florus and Laurus and two saints in monkish attire. The raised border stripped to gesso, partially restored. 33.5 x 29.8 cm.
