A VERY FINE AND LARGE ICON OF DOUBTING THOMAS FROM A CHURCH ICONOSTASIS Russian, 16th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The halo made of gold. Christ is depicted standing in the center of the composition before a church; His Apostles are divided on either side, St. Thomas steps forward to examine His side. Minimally restored. 43.3 x 36.5 cm.
