A VERY FINE ICON SHOWING THE MOTHER OF GOD 'OF THE BURNING BUSH' WITH A SILVER-GILT BASMA Russian, 19th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, 1837 (basma) Tempera on wood panel. Painted in bright colours against a golden background. The silber-gilt basma finely engraved with foliate scrolls. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark. Minor damages to the edges. 31.3 x 27 cm.
