A VERY FINE ICON OF KING DAVID Russian, Moscow, attributed to Iosif Semenovich Chirikov, early 20th century Tempera on gesso over wood, laid down on a wood panel, with gilded halo and rich chrysography to the garment folds. Executed in detailed painting, the garments finely pleated in gold. Slight rubbing. Diameter 22.9 cm.
