A VERY FINE DATED ICON SHOWING ST. NICHOLAS OF MYRA Russian, dated 1901 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The haloes made of gold. Ten selected saints on the borders, warrior saints and patrons of doctors among them. Inscribed in Cyrillic along the lower border 'Painted in the year 1901, in the month of March, on the 3rd day'. Minimally restored. 30.9 x 26.4 cm.
