A FINELY CARVED WOODEN RELIEF DEPICTING A CATHEDRAL CROWNED WITH ONION DOMES North Russian, 18th century Carved in relief and painted. The edges minimally chipped. 29 x 24.4 cm. Provenance: Andreas Tostrup Urbye (1869-1955): A Norwegian civil servant and politician, he entered the diplomatic service and was stationed in Moscow from 1924 to 1939.
