A MONUMENTAL ICON SHOWING THE CHERNIGOVSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD FROM A CHURCH ICONOSTASIS Russian, 18th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The halo and the floral ornaments of the garments made of silver, covered by a golden lacquer. The background and border stripped to gesso, minor losses to the edges, partially restored. 99.5 x 68.6 cm.
