Description
A MONUMENTAL ICON 'ALL SAINTS' Greek, 18th century Tempera on wood panel. The haloes and borders made of gold. The Orthodox saints portrayed according to their ranking in registers, with the Mother of Godand St. John the Forerunner in the pose or prayer interceding between them and Christ, the latter represented enthroned in a circular and radiating glory above, painted with saturated colours and gold. Minimally restored. 64 x 49 cm.
