A SMALL ICON SHOWING THE GRUZINSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD WITH A SILVER RIZA Russian, 1st half 19th century Tempera on wood panel. The haloes made of gold. The tips of the folds highlighted with chrysography. Overlaid with a silver riza engraved with scrolling foliage. Marked with master's mark 'FS' in Cyrillic. Four selected saints on the borders, the Guardian Angel among them. Minor losses. 22.2 x 19 cm.
