JOHN THE FORERUNNER AND LUKE THE EVANGELIST WITH A SILVER-GILT RIZA Russian, circa 1800 (icon), Russian, Moscow, circa 1810 (riza) Tempera on wood panel. The haloes and throne made of gold. The silver-gilt riza chased and repoussé with palmettes. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'PS' in Cyrillic. Minor losses, minimally restored. 14.5 x 12.3 cm.
