MICHAEL OF KLOPSK, THE FOOL FOR CHRIST WITH A SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL RIZA Russian, early 20th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, 1908-1917 (riza) Tempera on wood panel with velvet backing. Overlaid with a silver-gilt and cloisonné enamel riza. The riza and halo enamelled with varicolour foliate motifs, the corners decorated with four enamelled stylised Greek crosses. Marked with assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'FV' in Cyrillic. French control marks. Minor areas of retouching. 11.2 x 9 cm.
