A SMALL ICON WITH DEESIS Russian, 19th century Tempera on wood panel, partly gilded and ornamentally tooled. With two saints on the borders: the Guardian Angel and Saint Isaiah. Background and border stripped to gesso, minor restoration. Cyrillic dedicatory inscription on the reverse. 26 x 21.3 cm.
