A SMALL ICON OF CHRIST PANTOKRATOR WITH SILVER-GILT AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL OKLAD Russian, circa 1900 (icon), Russian, Moscow, Nikolay Gratchev, 1896-1908 (oklad) Oil on wood panel with velvet backing. Portrayed frontal, half-length, blessing and displaying the open Gospels, rendered realistically, the raised border of the parcel-gilt oklad decorated with stylised motifs, the halo made of colourful cloisonné enamel. Struck with assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'NG' in Cyrillic. 22 x 17.7 cm.
