AN ICON 'DO NOT WEEP FOR ME MOTHER' WITH RIZA Russian, circa 1800 Tempera on wood panel, mounted with a delicately chased and embossed metal riza ornamented with scrolling foliage; the haloes enriched with blue cabochons. The borders depict two selected saints. Areas of restoration; minor losses and wear to the riza. 31.3 x 26 cm.
