AN ICON SHOWING THE EXTENDED DEISIS Russian, 19th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Finely executed in great detail on a gold ground. All bearing gilt haloes, painted traditionally with complimentary greens, blues and reds, the garment folds emphasised with strong gold striations. Minor areas of retouching. 35.4 x 30.7 cm.
