AN ICON OF THE SMOLENSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD WITH CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL OKLAD Russian, late 19th century (icon); Moscow, Egor Cheryatov, 1896-1908 (oklad) Oil on wood panel, the reverse covered with velvet. The oklad of gilded silver, the halo in shaded cloisonné enamel, struck with district assay mark, '84' standard and master's mark 'ETsch' in Cyrillic. Enamel slightly rubbed. 26.8 x 22.7 cm.
