AN ICON OF THE OLD TESTAMENT TRINITY Russian, circa 1880 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The background and border made of silver, covered by a golden lacquer. The border decorated with engraved stylized patterns emulating the metal oklads of contemporary icons. Minor vertical crack, partially restored. 31.3 x 26.4 cm.
