AN ICON SHOWING ST. NICHOLAS OF MYRA Russian, Old Believers' workshop, circa 1800 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The haloes made of gold. Saint Nicholas holds the open Gospels, blesses with his right hand and he is dressed in sumptuous attire, decorated with crosses and imitation pearls. Partially restored. 31.4 x 26.4 cm.
