A LARGE AND FINE ICON WITH EXTENDED DEISIS Russian, late 18th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg, garment folds highlighted in assist gold. Finely executed in great detail on a gold ground. The throne finely decorated with floral motifs. Two family patrons at each side: a hermit, the warrior saint Eustathios, Niphon, and Catherine. Slightly rubbed. 44 x 39.4 cm. Provenance: Jan Morsink, Amsterdam.
