A LARGE ICON OF THE RESURRECTION AND DESCENT INTO HELL WITHIN A SURROUND OF TWELVE GREAT FEASTS OF ORTHODOXY Russian, Guslicy, 2nd half of the 19th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The background made of silver, covered by a golden lacquer. Four selected saints on the borders, St. Alexius, Man of God among them. Partially restored. 44.1 x 38.2 cm.
