A LARGE AND FINE ICON SHOWING THE NATIVITY OF THE MOTHER OF GOD Russian, circa 1800 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The haloes made of gold. The icon finely painted with extensive ornamental detail, the borders with four selected saints, Sts. Paraskeva and Mariana among them. Vertical crack partially restored. 40.1 x 35.2 cm.
