A LARGE ICON SHOWING THE THREE GREAT HIERARCHS STS. BASIL THE GREAT, GREGORY THE THEOLOGIAN AND JOHN CHRYSOSTOM Russian, Vetka, 2nd half 19th century Tempera on wood panel. Exeucted in bright colours on a gold ground. Five selected saints on the borders, St. Alexius Man of God among them. Vertical crack restored, worm holes on the reverse. 44.5 x 37.4 cm.
