A VITA ICON OF ST. NICHOLAS OF MYRA Russian, circa 1600 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Rendered in a fine and detailed manner with reds and ochre, highlighted by white brushstrokes and gold. The background stripped to gesso, overpaintings of the 19th century. 33.2 x 28.5 cm.
