A FINE ICON SHOWING THE TIKHVINSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD WITH RIZA Russian, 18th century Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The faces delicately executed with soft earthly tones, their garments rendered in bright colours, highlighted with dense chrysography. A female saint appears on the right border. Minor areas of retouching. Overlaid with a brass riza engraved with scrolling foliage. 32 x 27 cm.
