A FINE ICON SHOWING THE SMOLENSKAYA MOTHER OF GOD Russian, 1st half 17th century Tempera on wood panel with double kovcheg. Supporting Christ with her left arm, looking and pointing at him, the Child blessing and holding a scroll, painted with saturated tones of brown, with golden decoration on the garments. Partly restored. 30.6 x 26.5 cm.
