A FINE ICON SHOWING THE DEISIS WITH SILVER RIZA Russian, probably Circle of the Armoury Chamber / Kremlin Workshops, circa 1700 (icon), Russian, Kostroma, Petr Fedorov Serebrenikov, 1808 (riza) Tempera on wood panel. The folds of the garments painted in gold assist. St. Nikita appears on the left border. The silver riza chased and repoussé with vases, swags, and floral ornament. Paint blisterings, partially restored. 31.2 x 28 cm.
