A DATED ICON SHOWING THE ANNUNCIATION WITH A SILVER-GILT BASMA Russian, dated 1878 (?), Russian, St. Petersburg, 1778 (basma) Oil on wood panel. The border overlaid with a finely chased and repoussé silver-gilt basma. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark and master's mark 'SV' in Cyrillic. Partially restored. 30 x 25.2 cm.
