A DATED ICON SHOWING THE MOTHER OF GOD 'THE LIFE-GIVING SOURCE' Russian, dated 1839 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. The haloes made of silver, covered by a golden lacquer. Six selected saints on the borders, Sts. John the Forerunner and Anna among them. Dated lower right. Partially restored, the reverse partially cut. 31.8 x 28 cm.
