A FINE ICON SHOWING THE 'OZERYANSKAYA' MOTHER OF GOD WITH A SILVER PARCEL-GILT OKLAD Russian, Moscow, late 19th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, Dmitry Gordunov, 1892 (oklad) Oil on wood panel with velvet backing. The silver parcel-gilt oklad finely chased, all within a strapwork border engraved with foliage. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'DG.' in Cyrillic. Old Cyrillic label 'I.V. Shcheklev in Moscow and Kharkov' attached verso. 26.9 x 22.4 cm (without frame).
