A LARGE AND RARE ICON SHOWING STS. SISINNIUS ATTENDING THE MIRACLE OF ARCHANGEL MICHAEL CURING FROM THE 12 FEVERS Russian, 19th century Tempera on wood panel. In the foreground the 12 fevers shown as white female figures. The archangel Michael standing to the left holding a lance and plugging it into the figures. The miracle attanded by the elderly St. Sisinnius presenting a Bible and three saints. Partially restored. 53 x 42.5 cm.
