ILYA ABRAMOVICH GRINMAN 1875 Rostov-on-Don - 1944 Auschwitz Russian portrait painter of Jewish origin. Pupil of K.K. Kostandi at the drawing school in Odessa and of I.E. Repin at the School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Before and after the October Revolution took part in numerous exhibitions with portraits of famous contemporaries. In 1927 emigrated to Paris.
