Yustitskiy 1920'. Verso: inscr. twice in Cyrillic 'A. Horawski'. The original work by V.M. Yustitskiy, housed in the Radishchev Art Museum in Saratov, is known to have been painted on the reverse side of a lithographic portrait. Considering the inscription on the stretcher bar, it is possible that the current painting was also executed on an older canvas, which may have originally featured a painting by the landscapist Apolinary Horawski (1833-1900).
