VIOLIN 'PETER POTS' Cremona, 1980 Two-piece spruce top and maple back, light brown-orange varnish. 4/4 violin, length 58.2 cm, body width 35 cm. Violin label: 'Peter Pots Cremona 1980'. Peter Pots was born in South Africa and comes from a family of violin makers with roots in Cremona. He completed his training at the renowned violin making school in Cremona and worked with masters such as Bruce Carlson and Fausto Cacciatori. Since the 2000s, he has run his own workshop in Scurano near Cremona, where he builds high-quality string instruments. Min. order. Provenance: Private collection, southern Germany.
