A high-quality violin by the internationally renowned master violin maker and physicist Martin Schleske. Schleske is one of Germany's most significant contemporary violin makers, combining traditional craftsmanship with intensive acoustic research. His instruments are played by soloists, concertmasters, and professional orchestral musicians worldwide. Schleske views every violin crafted in his workshop as an individual "sound sculpture." The instruments are created through meticulous handwork, drawing tonal and aesthetic inspiration from great Italian models such as Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesù, and Montagnana-makers whose resonance characteristics Schleske has scientifically studied for decades. Schleske trained at the State Violin Making School in Mittenwald, subsequently worked in the research laboratory of the acoustical engineering consultancy Müller-BBM, and completed a degree in physics with a thesis on the natural vibrations of the violin. He passed his master craftsman examination in 1996 with distinction. Today, he ranks among Europe's leading contemporary violin makers. Min. bumped, rest, age-related craquelure.
