VIOLIN AFTER 'JOSEF KLOTZ' German, circa 1900. One-piece spruce top and maple back, orange-brown varnish. Full-size (4/4) violin, length 59 cm, body length 35.5 cm. Labelled "Josef Klotz in Mittenwald anno 1795". Partially bumped and minimally rubbed, crack to the top restored. Provenance: Private collection, southern Germany.
