VIOLIN BOW BRIAN ALVEY London, probably around 1970 Octagonal stick, gold mounting and headplate, in frog gold laurel wreaths with ribbons, thumb leather. L. 74,5 cm, weight ca. 60g. Violin bow marked 'Brian Alvey'. Brian Alvey (1949) worked as a bow maker for the London firm W.E. Hill & Sons from 1966 to 1978. Min. bumped. Provenance: Private collection Rhineland.
