'REUGE' FIGURE AUTOMATA 'VIOLINIST' WITH MUSICAL MECHANISM Switzerland, Sainte-Croix, circa 1970 Wood, partially painted, textiles, metal, porcelain. 36 x 17.5 x 21.5 cm. Label on the reverse: 'Reuge Swiss Musical Movement'. Plays the pieces: 'Menuet - Mozart' and 'Serenade - Schubert'. Movable figure of a violinist standing at a music stand, his instrument at his feet. Partially damaged and restored.
